Quiet by the Water

The water was always going to be the loudest thing in the room. Everything inside was designed to let it stay that way.

For this new family home in Manchester-by-the-Sea, the aim was a quieter kind of modern. Clean European lines, warm materials, and rooms that feel calm from the moment you walk in.

But calm didn't mean untouched. At the center of the kitchen, a generous island was designed for the nights when the house fills up, giving family and friends a place to gather while the water remains just beyond the glass.

The result is a home that can hold both: peaceful mornings by the coast and a very full house by evening.
