Turned Toward the Water

Jamestown, Rhode Island

The water was always there. The new kitchen simply gave it a better place in everyday life.

When it came time to update the home, the kitchen, living space, and bar were reconsidered together. The island was turned toward the view, changing where people naturally sit, cook, and spend time throughout the day.

Now, the room follows the rhythm of life by the water. Coffee comes with the morning view, dinner happens facing the harbor, and the bar gives everyone another reason to stay awhile.

Sometimes the best change is simply turning toward what was there all along.
