Interior design of a bright, open-concept modern kitchen and living space: white lacquer flat-panel cabinetry, a marble slab backsplash, a wood-topped island with black metal barstools, floor-to-ceiling wood-framed windows overlooking trees, a black spiral staircase, and a gray sectional sofa with chartreuse and navy throw pillows in the foreground

Open House

New England makes you wait for summer. This home makes the most of it when it arrives.

The glass walls open wide, and suddenly the kitchen is as connected to the patio as it is to the rest of the house. The boundaries that make sense in January all but disappear.

For a few good months, home gets a little bigger.
