DIVINE FULL CUSTOM

The Floor Beneath Every Memory

Some surfaces you choose for how they look. This one you choose for how it feels — underfoot, every single day, for the rest of your life in this home. Bespoke hardwood flooring, handcrafted in Italy from clear European oak: long, wide planks cut from wood so unblemished it reads almost like silk grain, without a single knot to interrupt the eye as it travels the length of a room.
Wood Without a Flaw, By Design
Clear oak is rare for a reason — only the straightest, most patient growth produces boards this long and this clean. No knots. No blemishes. Nothing to distract from the grain itself, running unbroken from one end of the room to the other. This is flooring chosen the way you'd choose anything meant to last a lifetime: for what it is, not for what a finish is covering up.
One Home, One Language of Wood
Your floor shouldn't stand apart from everything else in the room — it should speak the same language as your stairs, your cabinetry, your windows, matched and coordinated so the whole home reads as one continuous idea rather than a collection of separate choices. Walk from the kitchen to the stairwell and the wood simply continues, the same tone, the same grain, the same quiet consistency underfoot.
This Is Where It All Happens
This is the floor the grandchildren will learn to crawl across, then walk across, then run across before anyone's ready for them to be running at all. It's where the dog sprawls in a patch of afternoon sun, where a puzzle gets spread out and left there for three days, where bare feet pad through on a Sunday morning before anyone else is awake. Long after the furniture changes and the walls are painted again, this floor will still be holding every one of those mornings — unblemished, unbroken, and exactly as it was the day it was laid.

SCHOTTEN & HANSEN

Refined by hand in Bavaria

Wood as a Mediator Between Nature and Architecture
Some flooring is manufactured. Schotten & Hansen's is raised — refined by hand in Bavaria for over forty years, following a philosophy their founder, Torben Hansen, describes simply: wood as the mediator between nature and architecture. Every board carries the tree's own history in its grain, brought forward rather than sanded away, because the point was never to make wood look uniform. It was to let it remain unmistakably itself.
Finished by Hand, Because Machines Have Limits
Where most flooring is cut, stained, and sealed by machine, Schotten & Hansen still finishes by hand — a slower process, but one no machine can replicate: brushed textures that reveal the wood's early growth rings, surfaces shrunk to expose a grain machines would flatten, tones built up in layers until the color feels less like a finish and more like something the wood always had in it. This is what "made for life" actually means — not a marketing phrase, but a promise that the floor will still be beautiful decades from now, aging the way real wood is supposed to age.
A Character for Every Home
Some floors are meant to feel calm — a straight, quiet grain that settles a room the moment you walk in. Others are meant to feel storied — wide joints, deep relief, a patina that reads like it's already lived a hundred years, even freshly laid. Between them: an almost limitless range of textures and tones, each one true to the log it came from rather than manufactured to match a swatch. Whatever your home is meant to feel like, there's a version of this floor that already feels that way.
