Beauty and the Basement
Suburban Boston
The basement doesn’t need to feel likeone.
This lower level is being reimagined as aquieter extension of the home, somewhere to settle in, put on a movie, play agame, or spend an afternoon without retreating upstairs.
A Japandi influence keeps everythingintentionally simple. Pale wood, soft neutrals, natural textures, and cleanlines are shaping a sense of calm, while the kitchenette and living spaces givethe floor a life of its own.
More retreat than rec room.
