Boston Waterfront Transitional Kitchen with Blue Island

This waterfront Boston home is the perfect setting for this transitional cape home kitchen. This custom kitchen has a new rustic touch with the worn exposed beams in the high ceiling. A large skylight adds to the ceiling’s height.

A bold choice was made for the European cabinets in this transitional kitchen. Because the home has an open floor plan, our designers wanted to carry the blue tones into this luxury kitchen. The result is blue kitchen cabinets with a shaker design for the fronts. It also has a matching blue kitchen island.

However, not all of the European cabinets are blue. The addition of white cabinets turns it into a two tone cabinet design. For a sophisticated look, an integrated fridge is hidden behind matching panels. A wine fridge is also outfitted with a matching front panel.

An elegant white stone countertop is used for the big kitchen island. A custom backsplash adds an eclectic touch to this cape house kitchen. Finally, accenting this transitional kitchen are copper accents.
