BOSTON LEXINGTON TRADITIONAL KITCHEN IN VICTORIAN

Transitional Kitchen Perfection in Lexington, MA

Dated and belated. This Lexington kitchen's original floor plan was blessed with good bones. But, that's about it. So, in a much-needed update, the new owners of this old home entrusted Divine Design + Build interior designer Amany Hanna and her construction team to transform the whole entire first floor. From the kitchen to mudroom + and into the family's space, we saw, yet again, a light and bright homage to renovations done right!

Stand out features from this project begin with the obvious design choice from the hanging pendants above the kitchen island. Amany sourced the pendant lights from Crystorama Lighting to effectively continue the circular attributes throughout the kitchen: starting with the Ship window in the far-reaching corner. The contrast formed in the "masculine" ship window with the intricate feminine high lights from the floral pendant lights provide the space more than just good design motifs; but, a timeless sense of universality and comfort for generations to come. Furthermore, the woven-in-appearance glass tiles on the kitchen backsplash are just another nod to the lead designer's creativity and interior design chops --- this being outside of her obvious architectural sense made apparent in concepts found in the island and surrounding facets.

The clients chose from a variety of appliance manufacturers to outfit their kitchen: a SubZero refrigerator, a Wolf gas range, a Thermador hood, and a Miele microwave drawer. Complementing stainless steel accessories, like the farm sink, add an additional shiny touch to an already gleaming kitchen. Nice work Amany.
