BOSTON METROWEST CONCRETE LEICHT CONTEMPORARY MODERN LEICHT KITCHEN
A concrete application to a Waltham kitchen + bath renovation
Like so many of our projects before, the clients found themselves in an outdated space. However, their dreams of "modern" specifics were not a far cry from our designer especial Michael Hanna. What transpired was a beautiful collaboration between the homeowners and Divine Design + Build. What ensued was the modern re-design of this Waltham home's kitchen, powder room, master, and guest baths. Michael pulled from his experience with Leicht cabinetry and his affinity for contemporary, cutting-edge design to give these clients their proverbial "dream home".One of the main crowd pleasers in this job's finish comes in the form of a melamime finish affixed to the kitchen's cabinet fronts. Michael artfully chose Leicht's Ikono series, Liton finish as the basis for this kitchen's original detailing. The Liton finish, although a melamime by any other name, projects a cooling, textured feel similar to a naturally poured concrete. With the grey selected, the Divine Designer matched high gloss, arctic white upper cabinets that play well off of the matt-like essence of the concrete-inspired base cabinets.Furthermore, Michael's background in architecture similarly makes way for fine, achitectural details such as the rounded off countertop/over hang that doubles as a sort of breakfast nook.
Speaking of architectural details, Michael supplies his clients with intricately placed niche shelving throughout the kitchen and accompanying bathrooms - to highlight art, floral displays, and/or etc.. However, the most fascinating nod to architecture lies in the powder room. Divine Design & Build senior designer Michael Hanna custom designed the glass vanity counter top, creating a wave-like illusion amidst a sandy-colored desert of mosaic tiles surrounding it. Furthermore, the powder and master bathrooms were also custom-designed pieces by the designer. And, were manufactured through the Hampshire cabinet namesake. The idea of "full custom" really comes full circle with Michael, and our whole team of designers, who can imagine, and then enact unseen before design concepts.
Looking through the gallery of images, one most likely notices the wide range of tiles in the three bathrooms + the gorgeous countertops and backsplash in the kitchen. Find below design details + finishes for each space inside of this Waltham, MA renovation.
