This beautiful kitchen was part of a new construction project in West Cambridge, MA. To match the rest of the house, we implemented a wide use of natural wood cabinetry and detailing, which also served to bridge the gap between the light and dark elements of this simple but luxurious kitchen.
Blending natural warmth with modern precision, this West Cambridge, MA kitchen showcases a refined balance of light and dark elements through its custom cabinetry and thoughtful detailing.
The oak-toned fronts introduce an inviting organic texture, complemented by sleek white lacquer surfaces and deep gray lacquer accents for a contemporary contrast.
The expansive island, wrapped in waterfall-edge countertops, serves as both a functional workspace and a social hub, complete with an integrated seating area.
Open shelving in matching natural wood creates a soft transition between the kitchen’s working zones and the living space, while integrated lighting highlights display pieces and provides a subtle glow.
A full suite of Gaggenau appliances — including a 36" gas cooktop, double oven, and integrated refrigeration and freezer columns — ensures professional-level performance without disrupting the minimalist aesthetic.
This is a space designed for both entertaining and everyday living, where natural materials and high-end function come together in understated elegance.

We also completed a darker themed mudroom at the front of the home, which is comprised of natural wood as well, and includes integrated lighting for when you’re coming home at night.
