Warm Tones Emerge from a Brookline Industrial-Inspired Kitchen

IN THE ABSENCE OF COLOR THERE IS WALNUT

While we can appreciate the trend of a “white kitchen” or the increasingly popular “black kitchen”, what we can truly appreciate more than anything is the marriage of black, white and woods in this Brookline kitchen renovation. The appeal of something more classic and versatile really struck the DDC design team and our clients when rethinking the look and feel of this latest project.

BEAUTY IN SIMPLICITY

Our design team chose to play with a complex textural palate: a mix of black, concrete-esque, high gloss white, and warm, walnut cabinet fronts and surfaces. However, what emerged was an impeccably designed yet effectively simple design. To the unassuming eye, a minimalist kitchen with Leicht cabinets evokes modern, industrial-like themes. However, the intricacies found in the handleless cabinetry and paneled refrigerator reveal a well-thought-out, modern solution.

IN SEARCH OF THE PERFECT WET BAR

Like many modern kitchens, this kitchen’s veritas lies in its simplicity. However, the incorporation of a wet bar was dire to the success of this renovation. Our design team chose to hide the final piece of this design inside the pantry - creating a turn-key solution with a minimalist feel to the final look. Modern, high-end appliances are sprinkled throughout the spaces - promising not only a timeless, modern space but a functioning one as well. Clink, clink! We’ll cheers to that!
