BOSTON LEXINGTON MODERN LEICHT KITCHEN WITH BENCH SEAT
Curved lines that redefine: a Lexington, MA kitchen renovation
This project goes all the way back to 2013! But, when looking back through the archives, we're astounded at how forward-thinking this project still remains. The designer's use of space and her attention to detail leaves a timeless, yet modern appeal for years to come. Furthermore, the curved island, inside this client's home, while original in its conception, still remains widely unused in kitchen design. Why? The technical aspects, for starters, renders a curved island very hard to actually construct. So cheers, to a Divine, kitchen island treasure.
The cabinets are in collaboration with German kitchen manufacturers Leicht Kitchens. The mixed-use of laminate and lacquer, like the curvature of the island, similarly, effects notions of the present rather than the more recent past. The designer integrated both the Luna and Orlando series' from Leicht with the cabinet selections. The wood laminate is "Stone Oak", while the white upper cabinets are glossy, "frosty white". Moving along, a custom panel was integrated into the mix for the refrigerator in a similar stone oak laminate. The cabinet hardware are Leicht's metal bow handles in a chrome gloss finish.
Lastly, the countertops are Silestone and part of the Lagoon collection. The clients opted for JENN-AIR appliances, and in that selected induction cooktop surfaces. Furthermore, the designer also custom-ordered a JENN-AIR built-in microwave, warming drawer, double oven, downdraft, and sink.
