Modern Navy Blue & Wood Toned Kitchen in Brookline, MA

This modern Brookline home needed a custom kitchen that embodied a sleek modern, and slightly industrial style. Our designers used inspiration from German kitchens to accomplish this, with Leicht matte black custom cabinetry, high gloss white veneer cabinets, and dark wood tone veneer. 

The black and white kitchen cabinets create a modern minimalist design that continues to the pantry and wet bar areas. Large windows line the kitchen, so the two-tone cabinets are split horizontally to embrace this natural light. The upper custom cabinets are high gloss and white lacquered to reflect as much light as possible. The lower German cabinets are matt black, and the flooring is polished concrete to create more depth. 

All of the cabinets are handleless, keeping in line with modern dark kitchen design. A large kitchen island defines the kitchen space in the open floor plan. A generous overhang on the backside allows for a small bar area that serves as an eat-in kitchen. 

Our clients will enjoy cooking on the Viking professional appliances as they gaze out the large windows instead of having a stone backsplash. Small niche open shelving provides decorative storage within arm’s reach of the cooktop.
