Modern Farmhouse Mudroom In Weston, MA

Our design experts enjoy unique challenges like this custom cabinetry solution. Using European cabinets, we created a modern design that utilized the space without detracting from the room’s overall design. 

Because the home has a modern minimalistic design, we wanted to continue this for a cohesive look. We also considered the use of light wood flooring throughout the home. This meant that the European cabinets needed to pair well with the warm wood tones of the floor.

The sleek handles accent the smooth slab fronts. This adds a nice contrasting touch to the cabinets that you just wouldn’t get with a handleless design. However, we left handles off of the cabinet fronts within the accent bench, as these would interfere with the ability to sit on the bench. 

Because this luxury cabinetry is a closet system, we wanted to add a place to get ready. A built-in cushioned bench was the perfect addition. This allows the homeowner to get the items they need and get dressed in one place. 

We added integrated lighting to the wood frame above the bench for a modern accent. This adds a bit of extra light to the space, keeping it from becoming too dark.
