Small Transitional Kitchen in Wellesley, MA

A major renovation updated this custom kitchen with a timeless transitional design. Our designers kept this Italian kitchen clean and sophisticated with a slim shaker design to the wall white kitchen cabinets. 

Because the open layout was limited, we did not add a large kitchen island. Instead, we opted for an eat-in kitchen table and chairs set. The high ceilings keep the space feeling like a huge luxury kitchen. 

A custom backsplash elevates this luxury kitchen. It wasn’t enough to use a simple white square tile. We also added a small mosaic accent tile band at the countertop and a large arrangement above the stove. 

Mounted underneath the upper Italian cabinets is integrated lighting. It illuminated the backsplash tile and countertops. This makes cooking and entertaining in this transitional kitchen easier. 

No transitional luxury kitchen would be complete without high performance appliances. However, a design choice was to not have an integrated fridge and let the stainless steel appliances shine.
