Modern Skylight Kitchen in Boston’s South End

The unique shape of this contemporary kitchen presented a challenge for our designers. The sloped ceiling meant that the end of the European kitchen could potentially be unusable. However, our design team embraced the idea of large skylights to elevate the vaulted ceiling and bring in much needed natural light. 

A wood floor featuring warm tones runs lengthwise, helping to increase the perceived length of this contemporary kitchen. This rich flooring is paired with off-white and grey oak Leicht custom cabinets. These lighten this European kitchen’s design.

The custom kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel luxury appliances. A simple yet chic custom backsplash covers the wall above the sink. It is fashioned from a panel of glass that is back-painted in grey. 

Despite the limited space, this chef’s kitchen rivals many of the big luxury kitchens that our designers have created. The elegant countertops are of white stone with light grey graining. The combination of natural wood tone luxury cabinetry and white countertops creates a contemporary design that keeps with the design trends of 2023.
