Ultra Modern Kitchen on the Water in Essex, MA

A growing trend in European kitchen design of 2023 is creating a flex space. This home is perfect for this, with large sliding glass doors that open the entire side of the kitchen to the back patio. This creates a chic space that has a minimal flare while also feeling elegant. 

European cabinets were a perfect addition with their modern simplicity. Because of the high ceilings, we wanted to take advantage of the available space. We used natural wood tones in a dark finish with a new rustic texture. Then paired them with white cabinets for a two tone cabinet look. With the large glass doors open to nature, the home has a modern farm house feel. 

Integrated handles on the cabinet create a clean look. The integrated lighting provides plenty of task lighting without adding visual bulk to the open layout. Because this luxury kitchen shares a space with the eat-in kitchen and living room, we wanted it to feel more connected. The dark custom cabinetry balances the entire room with the custom stone fireplace on the other side of the room. 

At first glance, you may not notice the stone backsplash. This is because the white stone has subtle graining. It creates just enough contrast with the white cabinets to create depth while keeping in line with the modern design.
