Tiny Modern Leicht Kitchen in Charlestown, MA

The Boston Victorian brownstones are famous for their elegant exteriors and rich architectural history. With each new owner, the interiors of these sophisticated buildings evolve to reflect contemporary design trends. We worked with our client to do a major renovation on this tiny kitchen. 

Despite the small space, our designers wanted to create a functional kitchen that works for cooking and entertaining. We took inspiration from European kitchens to design a chic luxury kitchen.

We started by adding Leicht custom cabinetry with a light wood veneer. We chose a handleless design for a streamlined look. We also added panel fronts to the appliances. This visually opens the space by creating a uniform look with hidden kitchen appliances. Meile professional appliances elevate this custom kitchen. 

To add a contemporary touch that mirrors the brick exterior, we choose to use a cool tone tile backsplash. This custom backsplash extends up higher to create an elegant backdrop for an open shelf. We added integrated lighting to illuminate the backsplash tile. 

A simple large dark tile for the flooring adds a nice balance to the contemporary Leicht European cabinets.
