Modern Leicht Kitchen with Walnut Island in Brookline, MA
We wanted to bring a modern farm house feel to this Boston colonial home. So we used traditional farmhouse elements like a walnut butcher block extension to the big kitchen island and wood veneer custom cabinets. We also use elegant elements, such as the Calacatta countertops and custom backsplash, to elevate the design and give it a contemporary feel.
This combination exudes a contemporary feel similar to popular European kitchens in 2023. Instead of a sleek modern space, it has a comfortable sophistication that isn’t over the top fancy.
The white veneer Leicht luxury cabinetry with brushed nickel integrated handles adds a contemporary touch to the two tone cabinets. Their placement allows the marble stone backsplash extending to the ceiling to shine as a focal point in the open layout.
In addition to the natural wood tones, brass accents bring warmth to the space. The result is a huge luxury kitchen with the coziness of traditional European kitchens. You barely notice the high ceilings or integrated fridge as you walk through the space.
The additional countertop space and wood cabinetry make this an ideal space for entertaining. This additional kitchen space uses the same wood veneer custom cabinetry to frame the high performance double ovens.
