Modern Kitchen With Custom Backsplash in Boston’s Bay Village

Our client wanted to do a major renovation on their kitchen. Our designers took a fresh approach that took traditional German kitchen design and gave it a modern touch. The design started with Leicht custom cabinetry. The two tone cabinets are a combination of weight gloss lacquer and light oak veneer.

The lower cabinets have delicate brushed nickel handles. In contrast, the upper white cabinets look sleek modern with a handleless design. Combining custom cabinets breaks up the wood tones for an eclectic design.

Mounted in the luxury cabinetry are Wolf professional appliances. Double ovens turn this German kitchen into a chef’s kitchen. A large modern Gaggenau wine fridge provides an impressive amount of wine storage. Hidden behind a matching oak veneer panel is an integrated fridge.

For the custom backsplash, a Moroccan tile was chosen. The high ceilings allow for plenty of space to extend the backsplash up the entire wall.

Instead of adding a large kitchen island, we chose to add an eat-in kitchen. This allowed for plenty of space while cooking and created an entertaining area.
