Boston Weston Traditional Transitional Master Suite
A Royal Spa in Weston, MA
This loving tale of before and after takes place in the magical, affluent woods of Boston's metropolitan west, i.e. Weston, Massachusetts. The plot? A quest of drab 1980's master bath blues fueled by the adventure of a modern-day fairy tale ending. The designer on this project Amany Hanna proves right here on this project that fans of traditional tastes can still have contemporary conveniences within their bathroom design.
OUR PROCESS
One of the prominent aspects in this master bath's design comes in its affections to tile. Amany worked closely with her clients and the tile manufacturers to conceptualize the ideal project finish. With this in mind, the designer put in to effect a custom tile shower bench inside what is a solid, tiled shower stall. Furthermore, the floor of the shower are a complementary natural stone marble mosaic from Soho Studio, The base of the bench and surrounding wall space for the most part consist of, this time, a natural stone marble cut in a subway pattern. Lastly, one might notice even further detail found on the main tiled wall within the shower. These stunning tiles, also from Soho Studio, are displayed in a picture frame type setting. The rest of the bathroom's tiling, such as the main large-format squares, are white thassos tile from Daltile. Lastly, the intricate mosaic accents on the floor of the bathroom are a part of the Asian statuary mosaics collection from Soho Studio.
A BEAUTIFUL SOLUTION
Polished chrome accents round out this bathroom's design with his and her sink faucets, shower heads, and etc. coming from Brizo. Furthermore, the master bathroom cabinets are custom ordered from Holiday Cabinets. The cabinet fronts, doors + drawers, are produced in a engineered wood, lacquered storm grey. Unusual wall sconces, and a "modern" stand alone tub detail the evolution of traditional design seen throughout this bathroom project.
