Together with her husband, Magued Barsoum, Mariette founded the company in 2004 at the urging of impressed clients. An Interior Designer and Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), as designated by the National Kitchen & Bathroom Association, she had built a reputation over the years of putting her customers’ needs at the heart of innovative design.

Mariette’s sought-after designs are extensions of her clients’ taste and draw from the aesthetic of their existing home. “At the end of the day, our Personal Cost Analysis is really why our clients choose Divine. We create several beautiful, functional designs that allow our homeowners to hand-select the options that they desire from each design, at the price they prefer,” explains Mariette. “We’re here to help guide the process and be inspired by our clients’ vision.”

Samantha earned her B.A. in Interior Design from University of New Haven as well as a M.A. in Interior Architecture from New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University. Originally from Long Island, New York, Samantha has been in the design industry for over 7 years. She is also Leicht’s industry partner for the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Samantha thrives on introducing fresh design into the Historical New England design market. Samantha draws inspiration from her love of minimal spaces, organized living and passion for furniture design. She loves designing with German cabinetry and uncovering all the endless possibilities of what can be created working with these beautifully engineered products. “Kitchen design is comparable to a small scale architectural puzzle that I get to put together using form, material and function; and then my clients share their lives around that design. That challenge is what truly excites me and the main reason why I love what I do,” says Samantha

Jana’s love of architecture began with her favorite childhood hobby of drawing floor plans and designs in her sketchpads. This early interest in design became the catalyst for a successful career. Drawing from 12 years of independent design professional and design/build experience, her well-rounded approach results in beautiful residential spaces that fully consider the functional aspects of life in the home. “It’s about understanding not just my clients’ style, but their needs—learning how they enjoy family life on a day-to-day basis, and finding ways to make it all work for them.”

Jana especially enjoys the space-planning aspects of the process, and finding ways to take the final design to its highest potential both structurally and aesthetically. With an eye for bringing together classic architecture, timeless finishes, and modern design touches, she delivers exquisite living spaces that offer comfort and long-lasting appeal.

Jana is a native of Newton, MA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University at Buffalo.

Magued and his wife, Principal Designer Mariette Barsoum, founded Divine Design+Build in 2004 on the idea that the combined “design and then build” process is a better way to undertake a home renovation because it saves clients’ time, stress and money.

Previously a senior-level executive for engineering firms, Magued, a Harvard University graduate, could see that the key to renovation success lies in superior project management. By combining a group of seasoned design and construction professionals into a single cohesive team, he created a turnkey solution for homeowners looking to reduce their financial risk, while simultaneously achieving a more functional, attractive home. Magued rounds out his experience with a General Contractor’s license, which allows him to oversee his construction crews with a trained eye.

Magued holds a Bachelor’s and Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Master of Arts from Brandeis University and has earned credit towards his Ph.D. from Caltech.
